Clay Heart gallery
This gallery was crafted over many years. Each image, and accompanying reading, was made slowly through exploration, presence, and deep listening. Thank you for being here, and for your attention to these little squares of light.

Horizon obscured
Deep wrinkles rise
Dark chasms do tire
One breath
One stride
Her tempered fingers
Unyielding
From our first step to our last
We are held

Two halves of the cloven stone,
Forever bound yet blind to each other,
Sail through the barren landscape.
After many weary years,
Driven by longing and courage,
Each breaks course
To reunite as one,
And rest in radiant peace.

Even the beasts
Tread with a ferocious tenderness
On Mother Earth.

There is a time
To be draped in the wild
To hear stories from the wind
To choose with our heart
To lead with our gut
To stand in repose
As creation flows

We are just
A grain of sand.
In this storm of light we dance.
Pulsing together
We bring life to this desert land.

Any simple act
May leave its mark
For millions of years
What is our imprint on the Earth
On the clay heart of humankind?

We grow
Through nourishing roots
Not the iron anchor
Of expectation

Unalone
In the wind
Resilient
Before the storm
Together we rise
Brighter

May the jagged edges
Of your broken self
Become the watch towers
Of your castle
