Clay Heart

Description

Reading:

Any simple act
May leave its mark
For millions of years
What is our imprint on the earth,
On the clay heart of humankind?

Note from Jak:  This theropod track I photographed in the American southwest has lasted for at least 140 million years. One small act, one footstep. Some say we are the sum of our actions, and we cannot possibly understand how each thing we do affects the world around us, or for how long.

Technique: Captured on medium format film with vintage Rolleiflex TLR camera.
